You might use a GPS or your cell phone to get directions when you go anywhere. What happens, then, if the entire system goes down? What if your GPS and cell phones can’t get signals?

You need to have maps on hand in case that happens.

Have local, regional, state, and country maps available in your car. Be sure to mark routes to important places you may have to travel to during an emergency. Laminate the maps so they can survive wear and tear. That way, you will be able to use them for years if necessary.

You can also print off directions to places and store them in the glove box of your car. Remember, you can never be overly prepared.

You might think maps are a thing of the past, but they will also be a thing of the future. Be sure to load up on maps so you will be ready to go if disaster strikes.
