You should have a bug out bag filled with items that you can use to cook with when disaster strikes. If you’re like most people, you have put those items away and haven’t given them a second thought. That is a huge mistake.
You need to practice using your cooking equipment to ensure that you know what you are doing when disaster strikes. That way, you will know if your equipment works as intended or if it needs to be replaced. You will also feel much more comfortable when you have to use it for real.
Simply prepare a meal every two weeks with the items inside of your bug out kit. Then, clean the items and put them back in the bag. By the time disaster strikes, you will feel confident with the items in your kit.
This is an easy way to build up your confidence. Plus, you will learn some important cooking skills as well.
