Most preppers know they need to store water. They don’t realize they need to rotate it. It is essential that you rotate your water so it does not go bad. The amount of time the water lasts depends on the container you use.
If you store water in plastic bottles and place them in a temperature controlled room, they will last for 6 to 12 months. Drink the water and replace it. Put the new water in the back to rotate it. Always keep the fresh water in the back and move the older water up to the front.
Stainless Steel Containers
If you store water in stainless steel containers and put them in a temperature controlled room, they will last for three years. Again, consume the water and replace it with fresh water.
You need your water to be safe to drink when disaster strikes. You can accomplish that with the proper rotation. This will allow you to stay hydrated during the disaster.
